About Company:
Dollar General Fleet is the dedicated transportation division of Dollar General Corporation, one of America’s leading discount retailers. With a deep commitment to supporting the company’s expansive network of more than 19,000 stores across the United States, Dollar General Fleet plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient product deliveries to communities, especially in rural and underserved areas. The Fleet division is built on a foundation of reliability, safety, and driver-first values, recognizing that professional truck drivers are the backbone of the supply chain.
Dollar General began its operations in 1939, and over the decades, it has evolved from a single store into a major retail force with a nationwide footprint. The Fleet division was developed to optimize logistics, maintain better control over delivery times, and enhance the overall experience for both stores and drivers. Today, Dollar General Fleet operates a modern, well-maintained fleet of trucks and offers dedicated routes to maximize driver efficiency and satisfaction.
What sets Dollar General Fleet apart is its strong focus on driver welfare. The company understands that attracting and retaining top-tier drivers requires more than just competitive pay. As a result, the Fleet provides a host of driver-centric benefits, including consistent weekly home time, paid training programs, health and retirement plans, and even pet-friendly policies. Drivers are treated with respect and given the tools they need to succeed, from advanced safety technologies to supportive dispatch teams.
