Stockroom Attendant

Position Overview:

In the position of a Stockroom Attendant at Dollar General, your primary responsibility is to contribute significantly to the maintenance of fully stocked stores and the satisfaction of our clientele. Working within a dynamic and collaborative setting, precision and a dedicated approach to tasks are vital attributes. Your duties encompass various tasks such as receiving deliveries, selecting merchandise, and arranging packages, all of which are integral to the seamless functioning of our operations.

What You'll Do:

• Receive and Stock: Receive shipments, examine items for any harm, and place merchandise in assigned storage locations.
• Order Picking: Precisely select products by utilizing voice-guided or RF systems for completing store requests.
• Pallet Building: Focus on carefully crafting pallets to maintain the quality of goods in transit.
• Loading & Shipping: Prepare trailers for outbound shipments by securely loading and ensuring readiness for transportation.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to the upkeep of a tidy warehouse environment.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to achieve efficiency targets and address any arising problems promptly.

Qualifications:

• While having a high school diploma or GED is desirable, it is not a mandatory requirement.
• Capability to repeatedly raise up to 75 pounds during the duration of your work hours.
• Able to stand, walk, and engage in physical activities for extended periods of time averaging 8-10 hours per day without discomfort.
• Having familiarity with handling warehouse machinery, such as pallet jacks and forklifts, is advantageous.
• Openness to acquiring knowledge and adjusting in a rapidly changing setting.
• Individuals must be at least 18 years old to be eligible.
