Material Handler

Position Overview:

As a Material Handler at Dollar General, you'll play a key role in ensuring our stores stay stocked and our customers stay happy. You'll be part of a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. Whether it's receiving goods, picking orders, or preparing shipments, your work helps power everything we do.

What You'll Do:

• Receive and Stock: Receive shipments, inspect products for damages, and stock inventory in designated sections.
• Order Picking: Accurately collect merchandise by utilizing voice-activated or RF systems to meet store order specifications.
• Pallet Building: Engage in meticulous pallet construction to ensure the safety of goods while in transit.
• Loading & Shipping: Securely load trailers with outgoing cargo to facilitate smooth transportation.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and play a role in preserving the cleanliness of the warehouse.
• Teamwork: Work closely with supervisors and teammates to meet productivity goals and resolve issues as needed.

Qualifications:

• It is preferable for candidates to possess a high school diploma or GED, but it is not mandatory.
• Capacity to lift up to 75 lbs frequently during the course of the shift.
• Competent in standing, walking, and conducting physical activities for a full workday of 8-10 hours without discomfort.
• Having hands-on experience with warehouse equipment, for instance, pallet jacks and forklifts, is valuable.
• Desire to learn and adjust efficiently amidst a fast-paced setting.
• Those aged 18 years or older are permitted to enter.
