Job Details

The Sales Specialist acts as the main contact person for customers, aiding them in locating and buying products, managing the cash register, replenishing and organizing merchandise, maintaining store cleanliness, and carrying out additional duties as directed by the Store Manager to enhance store revenue and customer contentment while safeguarding company resources.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

  • Offer top-notch customer support by warmly welcoming and aiding patrons.
  • Perform tasks using the cash register and scanner to list items sold, receive payments, provide correct change, and package goods.
  • Help patrons with products whenever necessary.
  • Arrange, store, replenish, and reposition goods on display in accordance with company protocols.
  • Create and upkeep visual showcases for products.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of the store by taking care of tasks like garbage disposal, dusting, floor mopping, and cleaning restrooms and receiving sections.
  • Support in arranging outdoor exhibits along the walkway.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Effective abilities in interacting with others and communicating verbally.
  • Comprehension of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and adhering to planograms and guides for merchandise display.
  • Understanding fundamental cash management protocols and mathematical competencies.
  • Proficiency in efficiently using a cash register.

Work Experience and Education

  • Prefer candidates with a high school diploma or its equivalent.

Working Conditions

  • Regular walking and standing.
  • Regularly bending, crouching, and kneeling during tasks such as operating the cashier, replenishing items, and receiving deliveries.
  • Capability to maneuver rolltainers for restocking purposes by pushing or pulling them.
  • Regular use of items like handheld scanners, price markers, box cutters, merchandise bins, two-wheel carts, U-boats, and rolltainers is necessary for handling products and equipment regularly.
  • Regularly lifting objects weighing 40 pounds or less; occasionally handling items up to 55 pounds in weight.
  • Using a step ladder occasionally for ascending heights up to six feet.
  • Environment characterized by a rapid pace and moderate levels of noise.
  • Infrequent contact with external elements.
