Frito Lay is hiring for Packaging Machine Operator

Pay Rate: $25.67/hour
Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 3rd shift (11 PM - 7 AM)

Job Description:

As a Packaging Machine Operator at Frito-Lay, you will play a crucial role in the production of our well-known snacks, such as Lay's®, Cheetos®, and Doritos®. This position involves setting up and operating packaging machines and statistical scales to ensure the optimal number of quality packages. You will work in a loud manufacturing environment, primarily on your feet near heavy machinery. The job may require 40 to 50 hours per week, with potential overtime. After an 8 to 16-week training period, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating multiple packaging machines.
• Ensuring accurate code dates, weights, and packaging.
• Performing basic preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Cleaning and sanitizing lines and work areas.
• Troubleshooting common problems and making operational adjustments.
• Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work area.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Mechanical inclination and at least 1 year of machine operator experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand, walk, climb, bend, and stretch for extended periods.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in English.
• Willingness to work at heights using ladders or lifts.
